Ceramics

In my practice, I use a variety of techniques to shape and manipulate clay, each offering a unique way to express form and function. Hand building allows me to work directly with the clay, using pinching, coiling, and slab methods to create organic, personalized pieces. When I use the potter’s wheel, wheel throwing provides a sense of precision and fluidity, letting me craft symmetrical forms like bowls and vases with speed and accuracy. Mold casting, on the other hand, gives me the ability to replicate designs by pouring liquid clay into molds, allowing for consistent and intricate shapes across multiple pieces. Each of these methods plays a distinct role in my exploration of ceramics.
