In this series, I create large plaster gummy bears that evoke the playful, vibrant energy of pop art. By scaling up the familiar candy form and rendering it in plaster, I transform an object of childhood nostalgia into a statement on material and perception. The bright, bold colors and wall-mounted presentation give the bears an unexpected presence, blurring the line between sculpture and painting. Through this work, I explore the contrast between the sugary, disposable nature of candy and the permanence of plaster, inviting viewers to reconsider everyday objects as icons of contemporary culture.
