Textures In Color

In this piece, I invite viewers to engage with the sensory experience of touch through a grid of nine blocks, each covered in different materials. The textures vary from smooth to rough, soft to rigid, creating a tactile journey where the sensation felt by touch is directly tied to the color of each block. The colors are chosen to visually represent the emotions or physical reactions evoked by touching each surface, forming a connection between sight and touch. This interactive work challenges the traditional boundaries of art by encouraging physical interaction, prompting viewers to explore how texture and color can evoke distinct emotional and sensory responses. This piece asks the audience to pause and experience art beyond the visual, reminding us of the often-overlooked richness in the sensations of everyday objects.
